Questioning the policy processes for Electric Mobility
Following the analysis of dozens of policy documents and many stakeholder interviews in each of our four cities, policymakers and other stakeholders in Bristol are being invited to a workshop to discuss and feedback on the initial findings. We will discuss policies ranging from public EV charging infrastructure to the Clean Air Zone. The ‘world café’ method will be used to encourage attendees to collaboratively consider the findings presented, the sources of knowledge that underpin these findings, the implications for social justice, and their hopes for electric mobility policy development going forward.
Following lunch, we will focus on the e-scooter trial and run a deliberative exercise considering how we can make e-scooters an inclusive mode of transport that enables increased mobility for diverse disadvantaged or marginalised groups. We aim to co-create guidance that will be shared widely among relevant local stakeholders, including Bristol's wider population.
